Veneers are made of a thin porcelain or resin material and are used to recreate the appearance of someone’s smile. When placed on the front of the teeth, veneers improve the tooth’s shape, color, and alignment. Typically veneers are done with several at a time, to recreate a person’s entire smile.
After your exam the dentist will determine if you are a candidate for a one-day veneer procedure, otherwise the process may take two or three visits over a couple of weeks.
Porcelain veneers require the removal of a small amount of tooth enamel in order to fit over your teeth correctly. We will determine size, shape and match the color to your adjacent teeth.
One-day Veneer Procedure
We can do veneers the same day in office. We will custom design and create permanent veneers in a single visit. If you have a quickly-approaching event we can give you a beautiful smile in one appointment.
Two-Three Visit Procedure
Dr. Patel will have you come in for two appointments in order to receive your porcelain veneers. Your first visit will to prepare the tooth and a set of temporary veneers and make a model or impression of your teeth. The custom model is sent to a lab to have the porcelain veneers crafted. On your second visit, when the porcelain veneers arrive at our office, you’ll return to have them permanently bonded.
